Taylor Swift and Eras Tour is coming to Hamburg in just one week! As a dedicated concert-goer and someone who's been to Hamburg's Volksparkstadion multiple times, here are my top tips to ensure you have the best experience:

Getting to the Volksparkstadion during the Eras Tour in Hamburg
I would strongly recommend going by the S-Bahn to the station called Stellingen and then walking (it takes around 15-20mins) from there to the stadium. It’s way faster than taking a shuffle bus from this station to the stadium, that tend to already stuck in the traffic on the way to the stadium. The same goes for your return trip: walk back to Stellingen and take the S-Bahn home. Important: your concert ticket includes free public transportation to and from the stadium.
Toilets in the stadium
Unfortunately, the bathroom situation at Volksparkstadion can be a nightmare (especially for us ladies). When I was in floor sector in RHCP concert I waited 1 hour in the queue, and last year when I went to see The Weeknd, I was in 3rd floor but the situation was the same, basically I saw the queues and said ‘’Nop, not going’’. So what can I say, be smart about drinking, try to more hydrate in the first part of the day, and maybe even worth to go to the bathroom in small breaks during the concert. I will definitely skip drinking beer in this stadium :D
Food and drinks
In general German stadium including Hamburg one, have a lot of stands with drinks and snacks, also in the floor sector so you don’t need to leave the floor for getting a drink. You’ll also see folks with beer backpacks roaming the crowd and selling it. To be honest German stadium snacks (like fries and pretzels) are not my cup of tea so I would recommend having a filling meal before going to the venue and can keep you going through the night!
Footwear
This might sound obvious, but wear comfortable shoes, especially if you’re in the floor section. Remember that it is summer, feet tend to swell from the heat and long standing, and considering that the concert is more that 3 hours you wanna be ready to dance (yes this is valid to the seating sectors as well). So wear comfy and be ready to have time of your life!
Card payments
It is recommended to have cash with you as contactless payment cannot be guaranteed. Official communication by stadiums says ''please make sure to have cash as it is the preferred payment option at the stadium. There are some cashless payment options at Volksparkstadion Hamburg but cashless payment options cannot be guaranteed.''
If you have any more questions about Volksparkstadion, Hamburg, or concerts in general, feel free to ask. Let’s get ready to have the time of our lives!
