Shakira is currently on her record-breaking Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour, and the hype around it has been huge from the very beginning. For months, fans have been waiting and speculating about when (or if) this tour would finally make its way to Europe… and now we finally have some answers.
This September 2026, Shakira is bringing her historic tour to Madrid, which is currently expected to be her only European stop in 2026. So let’s break down everything we know so far - and why this announcement might feel a little bittersweet for her European fans.

Why is this such an anticipated tour?
This isn’t just another tour - Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour has already become the highest-grossing tour ever by a Hispanic artist, generating over $400 million and selling more than 3 million tickets across 80+ shows.
The demand has been just as impressive. For example, during her run in Mexico City, she sold out multiple nights at one of the biggest stadiums in the country, with total attendance surpassing 800,000 fans. So naturally, expectations for Europe are very high.
When is Shakira playing in Madrid in 2026?
Shakira initially planned to play three shows as part of her Madrid residency in September 2026. However, due to overwhelming demand, three additional dates have now been added, bringing the total to six shows.

18 September 2026

Tickets for the Madrid shows have been priced by the event organiser from €73.50 to €476 (including fees), plus a €2 per order charge. These prices do not include VIP packages.
From what we’ve seen so far:
General Admission (GA): around €119
GA VIP: around €320
Front of Stage: around €181
Front of Stage VIP: up to €464
For seated tickets, pricing seems to vary more. Some tickets were seen reaching around €250, which is definitely on the higher side - likely due to dynamic pricing.
Where to buy Shakira Madrid tickets?
The only official ticket seller is Ticketmaster. You can find tickets here: https://www.ticketmaster.es/artist/shakira-tickets/7142
How Many Tickets Can I Buy?
There is a limit of 6 tickets per person during the general sale, and 4 tickets per person during the artist presale.
How to increase your chances of getting Shakira 2026 tickets?
With demand expected to be this high, preparation really matters. These are my go-to tips:
Create (or log into) your Ticketmaster account in advance
Decide on your preferred date and ticket type (standing, seated, etc.) before the sale starts
Join the waiting room early (it usually opens ~30 minutes before). If the button isn’t visible yet, refresh the page - this is the only time you should refresh
Use one device and one tab for one date (multiple tabs for multiple dates is fine!)
Once you’re in the queue- don’t refresh!
Pro tip: Keep an eye on Shakira’s official channels during the sale. Extra dates might be added in real time - and being quick can make all the difference.

What to know about the Shakira Stadium (Estadio Shakira) in Madrid?
Shakira will perform a three-night residency at a temporary stadium built specifically for these shows. The venue will be located at Iberdrola Music in Madrid and is expected to hold over 50,000 people per night, covering an area of around 185,000 square meters. The space will also integrate cinema, gastronomy, literature, and exhibitions curated by the artist herself.
Designed as an immersive experience, this temporary venue model clearly nods to similar formats in Europe, such as Adele’s residency in Munich in 2024. As someone who has been there, I have quite a strong opinion on these types of residencies - you can read my Adele Munich concert review here.
What we know about the stage setup
Since the stadium hasn’t been built yet, we only have early visuals, but we do know that Shakira’s current tour already features a high-tech, evolving stage with 160-foot screens, hydraulic platforms, and a 25-meter ramp. So it’s very likely that the Madrid shows will take this even further, especially with a custom-built venue.
Of course, speaking from personal experience (again, thinking about Adele in Munich), buying tickets without knowing the actual venue layout can feel a bit tricky.
Are there VIP packages?
There’s no official information yet - but realistically, it would be surprising if there weren’t VIP options announced later.
Why this might not be what fans expected
Now… a bit of a personal take.
I know I’m not the only one who has been waiting for a full European tour announcement - so this news brings both excitement and a bit of frustration. Shakira has recently hinted in a Vanity Fair Italia interview that Europe will be an important part of the tour in 2026, saying she’s “really excited” about the European leg of the tour.
So the big question is: will we actually get a full European tour? Or will Madrid be the main (or only) stop - just with more dates added?
Right now, everything is pointing to just Madrid. The residency is being heavily promoted across international Ticketmaster platforms, and with a custom ‘Shakira Stadium’ being built for it… Plus, Spain is currently expected to be the final stop of the tour. Of course, there’s still summer 2026 where additional dates could be added - but nothing is confirmed yet.
And this is where things get a bit complicated. If Madrid ends up being the only location, it creates a huge barrier for fans - with travel, accommodation, and overall demand pushing prices even higher.
I’ve already touched on this kind of residency situation in my Harry Styles article, where it caused quite a bit of frustration among fans - read my Harry Styles ticket experience here.

Final thoughts
Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour in Madrid is shaping up to be one of the biggest live events of 2026. With limited dates, a brand-new immersive stadium, and extremely high demand, planning ahead will be essential.
As exciting as this announcement is (and maybe it’s finally time for me to visit Madrid), I can’t ignore the feeling that this kind of setup might not fully prioritize accessibility for fans - especially those across Europe who were hoping for a proper tour. I just wish these massive residency plans didn’t come at the cost of making it harder for so many people to attend.
But hey - that’s just my take.
