On November 5th, OneRepublic hit the stage in Kaunas as part of their Escape To Europe 2025 Tour - and it was everything you could wish for: upbeat hits, emotional ballads, Ryan Tedder showing off his Lithuanian skills, compliments about the Kaunas sunset, and tons of confetti that somehow still follows you home the next day. But let’s start from the beginning!
Tickets for OneRepublic’s Kaunas Concert 2025
When the official ticket sales started for the OneRepublic’s 2025 concert in Kaunas, I didn’t rush to buy them - I figured it wouldn’t sell out instantly. And I was mostly right… except the GA section actually did sold out. But for me, a concert like this has to be GA - there’s no way I’m sitting down.
A few months before the show, I kept an eye on Facebook ticket resale groups and managed to get four standing tickets for my parents, my friend, and myself (and let me stress: always be careful to avoid scams when buying tickets this way!). I got them for the original price - €86 each.

The Venue – Žalgiris Arena
Žalgiris Arena is not only the biggest indoor arena in Lithuania but also in all the Baltic states - and it just happens to be my hometown venue! I’ve been there countless times since it opened in 2011, both for concerts and my second favorite reason: basketball.
It’s a modern arena with good infrastructure and a central location. I can literally walk there in about 10 minutes, which is super convenient. The only downside? During winter concerts, if you’re in GA and leave your coat in the cloakroom, prepare for chaos afterwards. The queues to get coats back are insane - people pushing from every direction - and it can get pretty terrifying, especially after sold-out shows like this one. (I’m actually planning a separate post about Žalgiris Arena soon, so I’ll share more tips there.)
Preshow Vibes
We arrived around 6:15 PM - just as the doors opened - and there were already surprisingly many people inside (which is rare since Lithuanians usually arrive right before the show). Getting the barricade was impossible due to VIP/early entry tickets, but we still secured a solid 4th-row spot, super close to the stage.
The opener was Ella Henderson, known for hits like “Ghost”, “Alibi”, and “Crazy What Love Can Do”. She came on around 7:45 PM, but after just three songs, she stopped her band and told the crowd she’d been sick. She said she’d try to push through but felt too unwell to continue, and that she would move to the last song and hope she wouldn’t vomit during it.
Before leaving, she performed “Ghost” - and honestly, even while feeling ill, she still sounded amazing. Such a shame her set was cut short, but now I know I’d definitely see her live again if I get the chance.

OneRepublic Escape To Kaunas
Around 9 PM - when our legs were just about to give up after three hours of standing - OneRepublic finally hit the stage, kicking things off with “Feel Again” and “Kids”, before jumping straight into a hit-filled setlist: “Good Life”, “Runaway”, “Secrets”, “Stop and Stare”… honestly, I could just keep going, because it was pure hit after hit!
Between songs, Ryan Tedder (the lead singer) gave some warm speeches and showed off his Lithuanian skills with phrases like thank you and I love you. I always love when artists acknowledge the city they’re performing in - and this time, it felt extra special since it’s my hometown. Ryan mentioned how impressed he was by the Lithuanian sunset (he got lucky - we had a stunning pink Kaunas sky that night!), said he loved Lithuanian pizza, and even showed off a tattoo he got last time he performed here.
Author’s note: As I’m writing this, I just saw Ryan’s Instagram story - he’s still in Kaunas, grabbing something from a nearby bakery. Meanwhile, I’m sitting at home feeling guilty that celebrities are basically hanging out in my backyard. (It reminds me of when Rod Stewart once got coffee at the café around the corner from my house!)
Midway through the concert, the band moved to the back of the arena for a short acoustic set on the B-stage. They performed “Something I Need” (one of my favorites!) and a few songs Ryan has written for other artists - because yes, he’s also behind huge hits for people like Adele, Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé. They performed “Bleeding Love” and “Halo” - since Beyoncé didn’t include this song in her own setlist, OneRepublic did!
Ryan also kicked a few signed footballs into the crowd, which was such a fun little surprise!
The Love to OneRepublic Didn’t Run Out
After returning to the main stage, the party continued with smash hits like “Apologize”, “Love Runs Out”, “Counting Stars”, and the newer “I Ain’t Worried” from the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack. At this point, the entire arena was on its feet, dancing and singing along while Ryan ran and jumped across the stage. The man’s got moves!
The show lasted nearly two hours and ended with “If I Lose Myself” and a grand confetti explosion - I’m still finding pieces of it at home today. In my personal “confetti ranking”, they take a solid second place right after Imagine Dragons (that one is hard to top - those guys basically bring an entire truck of confetti to each show).
Once again, no crazy effects, pyro, or lasers - just pure music, great energy, and a band that knows how to put on a show. Sometimes, that’s all you need.
Final Thoughts
I know I say this all the time - but if you’ve been following my concert reviews, you already know I’m always a positive one when it comes to concerts.
If you get the chance to see OneRepublic live, do it! Their songs are incredible, the energy is contagious, and you’re guaranteed a great time. There are still a few European tour dates left, so don’t miss your chance: onerepublic.com/tour.
And now, I’m off to rewatch my concert videos and search for imaginary eye contact… because yes, post-concert depression strikes again.
