Finally, the first concert of 2026 - and what an impressive way to start the year with a small concert trip to Copenhagen. On February 2nd, 2026, I packed my small handbag and headed out for a 24‑hour concert trip to see RAYE - THIS TOUR MAY CONTAIN NEW MUSIC 2026 in Copenhagen. Keep reading to find out how everything went.

Tickets for RAYE THIS TOUR MAY CONTAIN NEW MUSIC 2026 in Copenhagen

The planning for this trip was fairly spontaneous. During a boring first week of January, I felt a strong need to go to a concert. A quick search later, I accidentally came across a general admission (standing) ticket for RAYE’s Copenhagen date - €79 (593 DKK). It was an official resale ticket on the Ticketmaster website.

Trip Planning

Why Copenhagen? Since I currently live in Kaunas, it’s actually one of the most convenient concert destinations for me. There are direct flights from Kaunas almost every day during normal schedules, and both of my flights departed around midday. The flight itself takes only about 1 hour and 15 minutes, and getting from Copenhagen Airport to the city center is just as easy - roughly 15 minutes by metro.

It was my first time traveling to Copenhagen specifically for a concert, and it definitely secured its place on my list of top concert destinations.

Copenhagen really secured its spot as a concert destination.

The entire trip lasted just over 24 hours. I flew out around 2 PM on the day of the concert, landed around 3 PM, checked into the hotel, grabbed some food, and by 5:15 PM I was already at the venue. One of my TikTok concert buddies had saved me a spot, and together we managed to get barricade. Fangirls really are the best.

The next day, I had a flight back at 12 PM, and by the afternoon I was already home - tired, happy, and still processing the show.

The Venue - Royal Arena

The concert took place at Royal Arena, a relatively new venue that opened in 2017 and can host around 17,000 people for concerts. It’s easily reachable by metro from the city center, with a travel time of about 15 minutes, which already gives it major bonus points.

The queuing and entry process was incredibly well organized - honestly, one of the smoothest I’ve ever experienced. Another very convenient feature was the lockers inside the venue for coats and jackets. This meant no cloakroom queues and no chaos after the show when everyone tries to collect their belongings at the same time.

All I can say is that the Danish really own their concert game, and other venues could absolutely take notes (Hamburg Volksparkstadion, I’m looking at you).

Preshow Vibes

Since I arrived only a few hours before doors opened, the day felt a bit hectic - but thankfully everything ran on time, which made the experience much smoother. I reached the venue around 5:15 PM, where I met my TikTok concert buddies for the first time in real life. Proof once again that concerts truly connect people.

While waiting to be let in, we battled the Copenhagen wind - which deserves an honorable (or maybe not so honorable) mention of its own. Coming from Lithuania, where temperatures had dropped to ‑25°C, it’s still hard to say where I felt colder.

Doors opened around 6 PM, we got inside, made our way to the barricade (huge thanks again to the best fangirls), and settled in to wait for the first concert of the year to begin.

RAYE - This Music May Contain Hope

Going into this concert, I had a very open mind. I’m still relatively new to RAYE’s music - I knew the well-known songs and that she sounds incredible live. And honestly? I really loved the show, and I’ll tell you why.

RAYE’s first appearance on stage

From the very first moments, RAYE pulled the audience straight into her world and made it impossible not to stay there. The stage design immediately set the tone: deep red theatre curtains covered the entire stage, creating an intimate, almost dramatic atmosphere. When RAYE appeared and the curtains lifted, the full setup was revealed - less like a typical arena concert and more like a theatrical performance. Alongside her band, RAYE was accompanied by a full orchestra with strings and trumpets, which instantly explained why her songs felt so cinematic live.

The show opened with WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!, a choice that perfectly set the tone for the night - dramatic, theatrical, and unapologetically intense. At one point, RAYE described herself as being in her “dramatic era,” and that description couldn’t have been more accurate. Many songs featured extended or seemingly improvised endings, with moments where she let her vocals fully take over. These weren’t just technically impressive - they felt incredibly emotional and raw. Her voice truly felt out of this world.

Jazz Bar Interlude

Halfway through the show, the stage transformed into what felt like a 1960s jazz bar, with softer lighting and even small tables with tiny lamps. RAYE took her time here, telling stories and setting a melancholic, nostalgic mood. She shared that when she gets older, she dreams of owning a jazz bar - a place where she would occasionally sing and mostly just hang out.

This was followed by her rendition of Fly Me to the Moon, and it was one of those moments where you genuinely felt transported into her jazz universe.

Audience Connection

Another strong aspect of the show was how naturally RAYE connected with the audience. From joking with a guy who likes to sing in the shower to interacting with a 72-year-old woman in the front rows, these moments felt genuine and spontaneous.

She also spoke openly about the stories behind her songs, her future plans (as mentioned earlier), and touched on sensitive and deeply personal topics. During those moments, the entire arena fell silent, and the songs that followed felt so raw that it’s genuinely difficult to put the feeling into words.

From RAYE to RAVE

The second act of the show completely flipped the energy - from RAYE to RAVE - with dance-driven pop tracks like Secrets, You Don’t Know Me, and the powerful Prada.

Later in the show, her sisters Amma and ABSOLUTELY - who had opened for her earlier - joined her on stage for the unreleased song Joy. Seeing them perform together really highlighted just how talented this family truly is.

The evening closed with Escapism., which felt like the perfect ending - emotional, powerful, and deeply satisfying.

As RAYE is an independent artist, the show also served as a way to introduce and promote her upcoming album This Music May Contain Hope, set to be released on March 27, 2026. The album is already available for pre-order via her official website.

The setlist was a strong mix of well-known songs and new material from her upcoming album - you can listen to the full setlist below:

Final Thoughts

RAYE’s music and live performance feel like a breath of fresh air in today’s music scene. The voice, the stage presence, the charisma - she has the ability to hold an arena without relying on distractions or over-the-top visuals.

Her European tour is mostly sold out, but there are still tickets available for select dates. It’s always worth checking Ticketmaster Resale or AXS Resale (in the UK). You can also check the rest of the tour dates on her official website.

If you get the chance to see RAYE live - take it. It’s not just a concert, it’s an experience.
