The big summer concert season in Kaunas - with four major acts - came to a close on August 21st with Post Malone’s Big Ass World Tour. And what a finale it was!

Even though I was only a little familiar with Post Malone (real name Austin Richard Post) - so keep in mind, this is from a very neutral perspective - of course I had to be there, especially since it was happening in my hometown. And honestly? I loved every second of it. Now, sitting on a Saturday evening writing this while listening to his setlist, I’m already thinking: I want to see him again! Within just two hours, I went from a casual listener to a fan.

I easily got two tickets for the Golden Circle Right (or “fan zone,” as we call it in Lithuania) during the presale for €120 each.

The Venue – Darius and Girenas Stadium

By now, this was already my fourth concert at Darius and Girenas Stadium this year, so you probably know the drill! I actually have a full blog post dedicated to this compact but super convenient venue, with all the tips you’ll need if you’re planning to attend an event there.

What I still love the most? Its location - you can easily walk there from the city center. After the Friday show, thousands of people strolled back downtown, and the bars and restaurants were buzzing with post-concert energy. I just love that vibe when the party keeps going!

The BIG ASS Stadium Tour Stage Setup

Posty’s stage was T-shaped, with a long runway and two wings. We managed to get second row at the corner where the main runway met the wing - such a good spot! From there, we had a great view of the main stage, and once Posty came to the so-called “B stage,” he was super close. (You can see the exact spot in the little plan I drew.)

The plan highlights our exact spot near the front barricade, giving a clear sense of Post Malone stage setup in Kaunas

One thing I found interesting though: the golden circles were located behind the wings of the T-stage. That meant there was no option to stand right in front of the whole stage, since that area was GA. Personally, I always think the very front of the stage or runway is the best - you get the full overview and you’re super close to the artist. So, in general, I feel like the front GA had better spots, which is a bit odd. From our place, we definitely saw Post Malone up close, but we also ended up watching his back quite a bit. Plus, we had to turn around a lot as we followed him moving across the stage.

Another detail: the left wing of the T-stage had stairs leading down to the crowd, so that side was definitely luckier - Post Malone was always coming down from there to interact with the audience (if you’re a hardcore fan, I hope you were on the left side ahha).

And then there was also a C-stage at the very back of the stadium, where Posty performed the final song of the night, “Congratulations.”

The Calm Before Posty

My concert buddy this time was my sister, and we arrived pretty early (at least compared to the average Lithuanian crowd, haha).

As always at this stadium, waiting was super chill. We sat on the ground, grabbed some drinks, and had no problem getting to the bathrooms. In total, we waited about three hours before the opener came on, but honestly, the time went by fast.

The opener was Lithuanian singer Justinas Jarutis. I already knew his music, but I don’t think he was the best fit for warming up the crowd. He kind of gave off main-artist energy, while opening for someone usually requires a different kind of approach, if you know what I mean. Anyway, the minutes kept ticking by, and we were just getting more and more excited for the main star of the night - Post Malone.

Post Malone in Kaunas: “Lithuania! Ladies and gentlemen, you kick ass!”

As I mentioned, I came in with no big expectations, just curiosity. A little background: I’d heard the show was really cool, I knew most of his popular songs (I’d also randomly discovered “One Night in Rome” a few years ago and listened to it a loooot), and of course, I knew he’s incredibly popular - I mean, he’s made songs with Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. As always, I prepped by listening to the setlist beforehand (that’s the one thing I always do before concerts).

Posty Hits the Stage

And wow - he delivered. From the first notes of “Texas Tea,” the energy was unreal, and the crowd went wild. In the fan zone, it felt like everyone was singing along and having the time of their lives. The hits kept coming: “Wow.,” “Better Now,” and more. By this point, I was so pleasantly surprised - he’s such a natural performer! He even has all these quirky moves that I wasn’t expecting but totally loved (at one point, he even did push-ups on stage, like what haha).

I have to add - Posty drinks and smokes on stage, which somehow makes it feel like you’re at a giant party with a friend singing for you.

Acoustic & Emotional Moments

I especially loved the acoustic set: “Feeling Whitney” with just him and a guitar under a sea of phone lights, followed by the emotional “Yours” after he told a beautiful story about writing it for his daughter’s wedding (yes, it’s still very far in the future - she’s only 3 - but he said he’s already worried about it, hahha).

Hits, Pyro & More Hits

Then came “Circles” - the first Post Malone song I ever knew (apparently Posty loves talking about shapes - and circles are his favorite) - and the crowd went absolutely wild. The rest of the night was just hit after hit: “Pour Me a Drink,” “I Had Some Help,” “rockstar,” “Sunflower,” and finally “Congratulations.”

If you want to see the full setlist from the Kaunas show, you can check it out here.

And let’s not forget the pyro - probably the strongest I’ve ever seen at a concert. Almost every other song had fire, fireworks, or both (especially during the final numbers). Now, I would’ve loved the concert just as much without all the flames haha, but I know for a lot of people, that was a huge highlight.

Fans, High-Fives and Pure Posty Love

One of my favorite parts? How much Post Malone actually talked to the crowd. He sounded super humble after almost every song, thanking the audience: “Thank you so very much, ladies and gentlemen.” He also gave a little speech about how welcomed he felt in Lithuania (author comment: awww), asked if we love beer here, and promised to come back soon! I also never heard someone shouting LITHUANIAAA so passionately so many times within 2 hours.

Post Malone also shared a few inspirational speeches about chasing your dreams and ignoring the people who try to bring you down. He said many people once told him he’d never be famous, never play stadiums - but here we are!

And his fan interaction? Next level. Posty came down for high-fives a few times, shared drinks with fans, and later jumped off the stage to sing “Circles” with a fan who had a sign asking for it. That moment was insane - he was so close we actually got to touch him! (Now, I should add that this fan had pushed his way to the front during the concert, which is very impolite behavior, so don’t do it, people!)

After finishing the last song, he even went around to sign records. Since the stairs down were on the other side of the stage, he spent more time with that section - but at this point, I can officially say: we made the right guy to make famous.

We had such a blast - dancing, jumping, clapping, and singing along, and showing our love to the one and only Post Malone.

Last Thoughts

My experience at the Post Malone 2025 concert in Kaunas proved something once again: you can become a fan after the show - and I definitely did! I’m listening to the songs on repeat and already hoping I can go again soon.

The lesson? Always go into concerts with an open mind. You might discover artists you never expected to love and have a night you’ll never forget.

So if you get the chance to see Post Malone live - even if you have doubts - my advice is simple: do it! You might enjoy it way more than you think. There are still some tour dates available, so check them out here: Post Malone Shows.
